Lemonade Diet

The Lemonade Diet is a relatively strict diet plan.

One who embarks on this cleanse only consumes the lemonade diet mix, and does not consume solid food, processed food etc., or anything aside the drink. All of his or her nutrients during the cycle are obtained through the fresh organic lemon juice, cayenne pepper and Grade B maple syrup. People are strongly encouraged to drink at least six glasses of lemonade per day. It is also recommended that people take a laxative at night to avoid constipation.

This diet plan has been around for several years, but it has recently grown in popularity. Singer and actress Beyonce Knowles followed this diet when she needed to lose weight quickly for her role in “Dream Girls.”

17 day diet

The Four Phases Of The 17 Day Diet

The first phase of the cycle is ‘Accelerate’. This involves a very low carbohydrate diet, limiting the calorie intake to about 1,200. This is expected to help in the fat burning as well as cleansing of the body. Moreover, quick loss of weight, of up to 15 pounds, devoid of any fat storage may be expected too.

In the ‘Active’ phase, the calorie intake is increased to about 1,500 a day. This is supposed to ‘reset’ the metabolism rate of the person. That is, keeping it from slowing down due to the ‘Accelerate’ diet.

Following this comes the ‘Achieve’ phase. This part of the diet, aims at helping a person develop good eating habits. A number of earlier restricted foods are re-introduced in the diet. And the low-carbohydrate diet is replaced by a well-balanced diet.

Finally the ‘Arrive’ phase steps in. It is a combination of the first three phases; that is advised to be kept up for a lifetime of healthy living. It involves following a healthy diet during the week; and splurging on your favorite foods, during the weekends. But, if this splurging leads you to gain weight in excess of 5 pounds you are recommended to restart from the second phase.

The 17 Day Diet, if followed religiously, promises you fast loss of visceral as well as belly fat; that too with long-lasting effects.

Cabbage Soup Diet

The diet is actually divided into a seven-day plan that includes eating a variety of different foods each day. The caloric intake is greatly reduced on the diet, which contributes to the diet’s success. Some of the pros related to the diet include the fact that many people begin to find the idea of eating the same soup every day a bit monotonous. However, the use of various spices can help to bring flavor to the soup. Another drawback is that the high quantity of cabbage is known to promote gas. You should also look at the time frame of when you are going to start. Make sure that you choose a time frame to complete it when you won’t be expected to be at parties, or have dinner dates. Obviously, holidays are not a good time to begin either. By using caution and exercising wise judgment, its an excellent way to begin your new diet plan. Good Luck! I hope you enjoy the cabbage diet soup

Sacred Heart Diet

The Sacred Heart Diet is a fad soup based diet that has been around for many years. The link to either the Sacred Heart Memorial Hospital in Florida or the hospital with the same name in Montreal Canada is almost certainly a myth, though this link is often claimed to give the diet some authority. This diet has also been known as such as the Cleveland Clinic Diet, Spokane Heart Diet, the Miami Heart Institute Diet and the Sacred Heart Memorial Hospital Diet. It is very similar the cabbage soup diet and is generally used to lose a lot of weight in a short period such as 7 days. Some people have claimed that they have lost 10-17 pounds in a week using this diet. Most of the weight lost will probably be water, nevertheless it is very popular. The diet is unsustainable and there is nothing magical about the foods eaten. The reduction in calories by replacing meals with lots of soup, fruit and vegetables produces the weight loss, and there is nothing more t it than that.
